About
Welcome to the website for Winter Neuropeptide Conference (WNPC) 2011, which will be held in Liverpool, UK from March 13-16, 2011.
The WNPC invites your attendance and participation in the 31th annual meeting. The WNPC is the oldest ongoing conference focused on neuropeptides. The first conference was in 1976 and has been convened on consecutive years since 1979. The WNPC was conceived as a mechanism for dissemination of information and vehicle to encourage collaboration among scientists working on neuropeptides. Originally the WNPC was linked formally to the Winter Conference on Brain Research. The WNPC continues to expand largely because work in the field of neuropeptides continues to proliferate and prosper.
The meeting spans four days. This year’s meeting is in Liverpool and the session times take place from 9-18.00 during the day, with discussion sessions, coffee and lunch included in the program. There will also be evening events organized to complement the academic programme. It is the organizers aim that we shall all be comfortable during the meeting and devote a lot of time to discussions. All attendees are invited to participate in a data blitz session coordinated with poster submissions. The setting is informal and participants are encouraged to actively take part in the conference.
